Type of NCC Camp

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate/Battalion organizes various camps to Build Leadership, Discipline, Teamwork, and Patriotism among cadets. These camps fall into several categories, including Institutional Training Camps, Adventure Camps, and Social Service Camps.



Types of NCC Camps :-

✅ 1. Annual Training Camp (ATC)  
• The most common and mandatory camp for cadets.  
• Duration: About 10 days.  
• Focus: Basic military training, physical fitness, drills, and cultural activities.

✅ 2. Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC)  
• Similar to ATC, but includes cadets from multiple institutions or units.  
• Focus: Joint training and interaction between cadets.

✅ 3. National Integration Camp (NIC)  
• Encourages national integration by gathering cadets from various states and regions.  
• Focus: Cultural exchange and unity in diversity.  
• Usually held in different parts of India.

✅ 4. Republic Day Camp (RDC)  
• Takes place in New Delhi in January.  
• A prestigious camp where only the top cadets are chosen.  
• Cadets participate in the Republic Day Parade at Rajpath.  
• Includes competitions, cultural programs, the Prime Minister's Rally, and more.

✅ 5. Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) (for Army Wing)  
• Located in Delhi.  
• Focus: Advanced training in map reading, obstacle courses, firing, and more.  
• Separate competitions for boys and girls.

✅ 6. Nau Sainik Camp (NSC) (for Naval Wing)  
• Held in coastal areas.  
• Focus: Seamanship, sailing, boat pulling, ship modeling, and more.

✅ 7. Vayu Sainik Camp (VSC) (for Air Wing)  
• Focus: Air Force-related training, including flying, aircraft recognition, microlight flying, and aero modeling.

✅ 8. Rock Climbing & Mountaineering Camps  
• Focus: Adventure activities such as rock climbing, mountaineering, and survival skills.  
• Held in locations like Rishikesh, Darjeeling, and Himachal Pradesh.

✅ 9. Trekking Camp  
• Conducted in hilly areas like the Himalayas.  
• Encourages a spirit of adventure and endurance.

✅ 10. Army Attachment Camp  
• Cadets join an Army unit for a few weeks.  
• Experience real military life and training.

✅ 11. Navy Attachment Camp  
• Similar to Army attachment but with Naval units.

✅ 12. Air Force Attachment Camp  
• Cadets visit Air Force Stations for training and exposure.

✅ 13. Youth Exchange Program (YEP)  
• Selected cadets travel to foreign countries such as the UK, Russia, and Vietnam to represent India.  
• Promotes international friendship and cultural exchange.

✅ 14. Social Service and Community Development (SSCD) Camp  
• Focuses on volunteering for initiatives like Swachh Bharat, tree planting, blood donation, and awareness drives.

✅ 15. Special National Integration Camp (SNIC)  
• Similar to NIC but takes place in sensitive areas like Jammu and Kashmir and the North-East.  
• Promotes harmony in border and conflict zones.

✅ 16. Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Camp (EBSB)  
• Encourages cultural bonding between paired states.  
• Cadets experience the traditions and lifestyles of other states.

✅ 17. Pre-RDC / Pre-TSC / Pre-NSC Camps  
• Preparatory camps to select and train cadets for RDC, TSC, NSC, and others.  
• Held at group, state, and zonal levels.

  • Rather than All camps are Centrally Organised Camps (COC) except ATC/CATC camp.
